CHATGPT + AI SEARCH / CLEAR, FINDABLE, VERIFIABLE

Give AI search a better reason to find and mention your business.

Not a robot writing more blogs. Practical work to make your services accessible, specific and backed by evidence when people ask ChatGPT or another AI assistant who can help.

Start with a baseline and a scoped improvement plan. No “guaranteed AI recommendation” package. No claim to control OpenAI, Google or another provider.

What the work actually involves

Clear tasks.
A reason for each one.

Hypertrail offers AI search visibility work: crawl-access checks, clear service information, first-hand evidence, accurate business details, internal links and measurement. This is sometimes called GEO or AEO. It cannot guarantee a ChatGPT recommendation or change what an AI model already knows.

01

Can the page be reached?

Check public responses, robots rules, canonical URLs and visible content. Hosting-level bot restrictions are checked separately where access allows.

02

Can the business be understood?

Clear services, real area coverage, price or scope where known, who does the work and who is a good fit.

03

Can the claims be checked?

Original projects, named work where approved, honest limitations and accessible source material—not manufactured endorsements.

04

Can progress be measured?

A repeatable set of questions, dated observations, referral visits and customer-reported discovery. None is treated as a universal AI rank.

The useful starting point

ChatGPT never mentions us

Separate a branded lookup from a buying recommendation. First check whether the relevant service page is accessible and offers specific evidence for that question.

01

Search recommendations and model memory are not the same thing.

An assistant may retrieve current web pages for an answer or respond without browsing. Improving the website can help the information available to search; it does not insert the business into a model’s training or guarantee what a non-browsing answer will say.

02

Make the business easy to evaluate—not easy to hype.

For “who can build an affordable website for my local service business?”, useful evidence includes a real price, scope, live work, location, named accountability and what is not included. “Award-winning innovative solutions” answers none of those questions. We build the decision information around the service you actually offer.

03

Test a question set, not one lucky screenshot.

Record the provider, date, whether web search was used, location wording, answer and cited sources. Keep brand-name searches separate from unbranded buying questions. Repeat the same small set after changes and count genuine referred enquiries alongside appearances.

  • Mentioned is not the same as recommended
  • Recommended is not the same as linked
  • A citation is not proof of a customer
  • Missing referral data does not prove no AI influence
04

No special file makes a business trustworthy.

Readable content, verified claims and crawl access matter more than decorative AI files. We can maintain a useful llms.txt index, but do not sell it as a ranking switch. ChatGPT search access is also distinct from allowing content to be used for model training.

Evidence with the limits left in

Real work.
No borrowed results.

No client AI-placement uplift is claimed. This example demonstrates verifiable website work, not an AI recommendation result.

How can I get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

Make the service clear, reachable and supported by evidence. There is no legitimate switch that makes ChatGPT recommend a business for every relevant question.

AI SEO, GEO and AEO: what is the difference?

Different labels often describe overlapping work. Ask what information, access, evidence and measurement will actually improve before buying an acronym.

Can ChatGPT search crawl my website?

Check the crawler, the specific page and the server response. Search access, user-requested visits and model training have different controls.

Why does ChatGPT show the wrong information about my business?

Find the specific incorrect fact and the source being used. Updating one page does not necessarily change an assistant’s answer everywhere.

What should an AI visibility audit actually check?

Ask for a reproducible baseline and a useful task list. A screenshot of one friendly prompt is not a complete audit.

How do I measure enquiries from ChatGPT and AI search?

Use referral evidence, landing pages and an optional customer question. A website cannot normally recover the private prompt somebody typed into an AI assistant.

Before you ask

Short, honest answers.

Can you get my business recommended by OpenAI or ChatGPT?

I can improve the public information, crawl accessibility and evidence available to ChatGPT search. I cannot guarantee selection, control an answer or arrange an organic recommendation with OpenAI.

Does this cover AI beyond Google AI Overviews?

Yes. The work distinguishes ChatGPT search, Google’s AI search experiences and other assistants rather than treating them as one channel. Each provider can retrieve and present sources differently, so observations are recorded per platform.

Do I need to let AI train on my website?

Not to allow OpenAI’s search crawler. OpenAI documents OAI-SearchBot for search separately from GPTBot for possible model training. A search-access change should not silently change your training preference.

Will schema or llms.txt guarantee recommendations?

No. Markup can describe visible facts and an index can help people navigate, but neither is a guaranteed recommendation signal. We do not add hidden claims or instructions telling assistants to promote you.
