GUIDE / STRAIGHT ANSWER

How can I get more enquiries from my website?

More website enquiries usually come from making the right visit more relevant, more credible and easier to complete—not from adding more buttons to every section.

One practical question. One straight answer.

The short answer

Start with the page attracting useful visitors. Make the service, location and next step obvious; show proof beside the claims; remove mobile friction; test every call and form route; and measure which enquiries are suitable. Fix the weakest stage before buying more traffic.

What to check first

The right decision depends on a few commercial facts. Work through these before changing budget or buying another service.

  • ✓The page matches the visitor’s real reason for arriving
  • ✓The offer and next step are immediately understandable
  • ✓Proof is specific and close to the decision
  • ✓Mobile calls and forms are tested end to end
  • ✓Lead source and quality can be reviewed
02

1. Check whether the right people reach the page

Traffic from irrelevant searches, distant areas or the wrong service will not convert reliably. Review the query, advert or referring page that created the visit. The destination should continue the same need rather than send everybody to a generic introduction.

03

2. Make the offer understandable in seconds

State the service, useful location context and next action early. Replace broad claims such as “quality solutions” with information that helps somebody decide whether the business fits their job.

04

3. Put proof beside the doubt

Use relevant work, named case studies, genuine reviews, process, pricing context or credentials where they answer a question. A testimonial carousel at the bottom cannot support a vague promise the visitor abandoned near the top.

  • ✓Comparable work
  • ✓Specific review evidence
  • ✓Named person or team
  • ✓Clear process
  • ✓Price or scope context where useful
05

4. Remove mobile friction

Test the page on a real phone. The number should be tappable, form labels visible, options easy to select, errors clear and confirmation unmistakable. Keep only fields that improve qualification or the first reply.

06

5. Prove the enquiry actually happened

A phone-button tap is not necessarily a connected call, and a form-button click is not a successful submission. Track confirmed outcomes, preserve the source and review whether the lead became suitable, quoted, booked or won.

07

6. Fix response as part of conversion

A good enquiry can still be lost through missed calls, slow replies or a confusing first response. Measure what happens after the website as well as on it. Improving follow-up may create more customers without changing the page at all.

What I would check in your account

If you share what the business sells, where customers are and what is not working, I can inspect the actual route from search to enquiry and tell you the first thing I would improve. If there is no sensible paid-search opportunity, I will say so.

Common questions

Short, honest answers.

Should I add more calls to action?

Only where another action genuinely helps. Repeating the same button cannot fix a vague offer, weak proof or a form that is unpleasant to complete.

Do I need a new website?

Not always. A focused rewrite, better service page, repaired form or clearer mobile route may solve the problem without replacing the whole site.

Should I send Google Ads traffic to the homepage?

Use the page that best matches the specific search and advert. That may be a strong homepage for a focused business, but a dedicated service or landing page is often clearer.
